For our last day the children worked with clay, sticks and sequins... so much fun.. I will miss the children, its been a wonderful experience. Thank you for your lovely memories, card and chocolates!

Showcase in Draiocht
On Wednesday 16th January 2019 a showcase for the children and parents was held at Draiocht gallery, Blanchardstown.

Day 8
Today we worked on ideas for building a sculptural work outside using spagetti and tape.. The children worked in groups - all making individual pieces and then bringing all the pieces together to make one large piece.. The many created varied such as a pirate ship, an aeroplane, people with animals and lots more.

Day 7
Today we put the finishing touches to our map -- the children made flowers for the magical forest..
Here's a flavour of the images and also how the map is starting to look now.. just a few more tweaks to get it all done for the Showcase in An Draiocht, Blanchardstown on 17th January. Exciting!

Day 6
Making progress - the map is beginning to look near completion.. Today the children worked on images of a magical forest that they wanted to include in the map - fairies, fairy houses, pathway and magic worms were some of the ideas the kids came up with themselves.

Day 5
The children created a house - their own house - for the map. This again will be a part of them included in the map, like all the other wonderful ideas gathered so far.. The map is taking shape when we put all the pieces together...
Day 4
Today the children made a person for the map - they each made someone who represents themselves, different little people...The pieces for our map are growing.
