Day 7

Today we put the finishing touches to our map -- the children made flowers for the magical forest..
Here's a flavour of the images and also how the map is starting to look now.. just a few more tweaks to get it all done for the Showcase in An Draiocht, Blanchardstown on 17th January. Exciting!

Making progress - the map is beginning to look near completion.. Today the children worked on images of a magical forest that they wanted to include in the map - fairies, fairy houses, pathway and magic worms were some of the ideas the kids came up with themselves.

Day 5

The children created a house - their own house - for the map. This again will be a part of them included in the map, like all the other wonderful ideas gathered so far.. The map is taking shape when we put all the pieces together...

Day 4

Today the children made a person for the map - they each made someone who represents themselves, different little people...The pieces for our map are growing.

Day 1

For the first session of this residency with senior infants we took a walk around the school grounds.
The children guided me with stories of what they enjoyed and we took images of what the children wanted to photograph in the grounds. Great day and lots of fun stories! Below are just a sample of the photos we took. I also took some audio of the stories to remember all the children.
